Meet Your New
State Senator,
Deb Krishnadasan

Deb Krishnadasan didn’t plan on running for office. But as a mom worried about underfunded schools in our community, she decided to do something about it.

When her family moved to Gig Harbor, she dove headfirst into public school advocacy—serving as school board president and pushing for better resources for students. Under her leadership, the district passed five successful levy and bond measures with strong voter approval, ensuring funding for key educational programs, building four new elementary schools, and modernizing two middle schools.

Now, as your new State Senator for the 26th Legislative District, she’s bringing that get-it-done energy to Olympia.

Recognized Leader for Washington’s Future

Deb’s work in education and public service has earned her recognition, including being named Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Citizen of the Year and receiving the Washington Association of School Administrators Community Leadership Award.
